Statement of Work - bespoke

THIS STATEMENT OF WORK ("SOW") is made between Connect Solutions NPC (2024/117256/08) (hereafter referred to as Connect Solutions) and the undersigned Client (hereafter referred to as the Client). The "Effective Date" is the date of submission of this form. Connect Solutions will offer services to the Client on the basis of being an experienced Salesforce Administrator and having Business Analysis experience.  Deliverables Connect Solutions will work with the Client to map the Information Systems needs of the organization. Two deliverables will be produced for this engagement: i) the Process Flow map and ii) a Development Plan (i.e. an estimate) for the customised Salesforce implementation The following steps will be undertaken to deliver the Assessment. The Connect Solutions will:
  1. Provide the Client with link to a Pre-baseline questionnaire (Homework) to initiate needs analysis
  2. Receive completed Pre-baseline questionnaire from the Client
  3. Study the material and then have an assessment meeting with the Client to discuss needs
  4. Produce a Process Flow map and Development Plan (estimate) for Phase 1 development and deliver this to the the Client.
  5. Receive feedback about the process flow 
  6. Effect minor changes to the 2 deliverables (no more than 2 hours is anticipated) 
  7. Return the final copy to the Client
Rate For the above-mentioned work, Connect Solutions will charge the Client at a rate of R845 (Eight Hundred and Forty Five Rand) per hour in 2024).  Rates as quoted above are subject to annual increases, actioned at the beginning of the calendar year. Process flow Assessments are normally completed within 25 hours of consulting time, provided that:
  • there is no need to do extensive analysis of an existing system (eg analyzing and existing Salesforce CRM implementation or determining the capabilities of an existing CRM system)
  • The steps outlined above can be followed as outlined. To spell this out, all information required for the assessment (i.e. step 2) needs to be provided in a single deliverable. If not, charges in excess of 25 hours will be likely. Also note that there is only allowance for one minor iteration of the process flow. Multiple iterations will also result in charges in excess of 25 hours. 
  • Business needs and current processes are well articulated and source documents are in a reasonable state and 
  • that all staff that are necessary to give input for the review (step 3) are available on a single morning for the review
If the Assessment encroaches upon the 25-hour estimate, Connect Solutions will liaise with the Client to discuss the way forward. Note that if a confirmed session booked with a Connect Solutions consultant is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full charge for that session will be incurred. Note also that if the consultancy engagement is delayed as a result of the Client failing to provide input, and as a result Connect Solutions is unable to perform any chargeable consultancy in that week (i.e. more than 1 hour in that week), a minimum of 1 hour per week will be charged to the Client as a retainer fee. This is intended to motivate continuous focus on the project until it is delivered.  Travel costs  It is not anticipated that this engagement would require Connect Solutions to travel outside of Cape Town.  Connect Solutions’ general approach to traveling is that we would look to keep travelling to a minimum and would prefer to engage via online meetings, telephone and web conferencing where such mediums are possible and appropriate.   However, in some cases it is advisable to travel to allow for face to face engagements or to see samples and systems in real life.  Travel within Cape Town and surrounds will be billed as part of the consulting time. If it becomes necessary for Connect Solutions staff to travel by air to consult, travel time and subsistence costs would apply, after being agreed upon with the Client. Financial limits An invoice will be submitted monthly or if all work is completed within a month, on delivery of the final copy of the process flow and development plan (as per step 7) of the Deliverables section. Termination of SOW engagement The Client is entitled to terminate this engagement as specified in this SOW at any point in time, provided that the Client shall then pay Connect Solutions for hours expended up to that point in making reasonable progress with the deliverables as well as any retainer fees that have accrued to date. Connect Solutions is entitled to terminate this engagement as specified in this SOW by giving 30 calendar days’ notice to the Client.  Acceptance of Statement of Work and Commencement:
