Every year our advanced Coding Learners build one, remarkable website for one remarkable nonprofit.
The Award is valued at sixteen thousand rand and includes the design and development of a two-page website, consisting of a Homepage and a combined Programme and Donation page.
A simple donor management system to keep track of supporters
Integration with the PayFast payment gateway for online donations
Development of a tailored WordPress website
Integration with Mailchimp for email communication
As part of the Award, the recipient will receive:
The website will be fully search-engine optimised and responsive across all mobile and desktop devices.
Although our learners have advanced coding skills, the award provides them with an opportunity to learn the nuances of consultancy work and to build their portfolio for future roles. They are supervised by an experienced web developer and Nonprofit fundraising expert.
* Please note: the awarded nonprofit must commit to a monthly maintenance plan of R945 every month for 1 year starting the month of launch – this ensures the site remains live and remains a good addition to Coding learner’s portfolios.

Photoshoot with Our In-House Photographyy
Great websites start with great images.
As part of this award, your organization will receive a three-hour photoshoot with our in-house photography team skilled professionals who specialize in capturing authentic, powerful images.
These photographs can be used across your website, newsletters, funding applications, annual reports, and more helping you share your story with impact and confidence.
Our in-house photography team specializes in creating authentic, visually striking images that tell your story with clarity and impact. By connecting genuinely with their subjects, they capture moments that engage, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.
Please note: Our in-house photographer is only available within the Cape Town metropole and cannot provide services outside of this area.
Terms and Conditions
Only one nonprofit will be awarded a free website from Connect Solutions. Included in the award:
- Four pages (homepage, About, Programme, Donations)
- All pages will be designed in Figma, with two mock up reviews to incorporate feedback from the awarded nonprofit
- Images taken during the three hour photoshoot with Made in My Camera will be used.
- The site will be built using WordPress, with a Divi theme (the costs of which is carried by Connect ns), with lead generation forms built using Gravity Forms (the costs of which is carried by Connect Solutions).
- Each page will be Search Engine Optimised using three chosen Keywords to describe the awarded organisations work
- Each page will responsive for mobile phones
- The site will continue to be maintained by Connect Solutions at a fee of R945 per month (carried by the awarded nonprofit) for a minimum of 12 months with the first month being the month of the award (February 2025)
- The awarded nonprofit agrees to not alter or change the style of the website for 12 months, with the knowledge that the website will be displayed on the Coding Learner portfolios.
- If the awarded nonprofit does not have a domain and hosting provider, Connect Solutions will guide and recommend the awarded nonprofit but the cost of hosting and domain registeration is wholly responsible for the costs to be paid directly to the chosen service provider.
- The awarded nonprofit must commit to the timeline outlined below.
Should any additional development or plugins be required, the awarded nonprofit will be responsible for the costs.
We want to ensure the award goes to nonprofits who are invested in using and maintaining their Salesforce.
Applications close midnight on January 31, 2025. No late submissions will be considered.
1Timeline

- Winners contacted by 15 November 2025
- You will meet virtually or in-person with your developers in the week of February 3 (you may be required to submit additional documents)
- Our in-house photographer will schedule your first photoshoot (this should be completed before
- November 19). Please note: this service is only available within the Cape Town metropole and cannot be provided outside of this area.
- You will also be invoiced R945 for monthly Maintenance payable by the end of the month (November 2025)
- The first mockup will be ready for review by November 24
- The Awarded nonprofit will select best mockup
- The awarded nonprofit will be required to give feedback within three days on any changes needed
- The revised mockup will be ready for review within five working days
- Again, the awarded nonprofit will be expected to give feedback within three days
- This feedback will finalise the design, and will be incorporated into the mockup and will be incorporated into the sandbox development
- The sandbox will be ready for testing functionality within one week of the final mockup review
- The awarded nonprofit will one week to thoroughly test the sites functionality and provide feedback.
- The site will be rolled to production and go live the following week
- The site will be live and finalised by November 31 at the latest
